• The FISH helpline operates WEEKDAYS WHEN VOLUNTEERS ARE AVAILABLE. OUR RECORDING WILL ANNOUNCE VOLUNTEER HOURS FOR THAT WEEK.

• YOU WILL ALWAYS REACH OUR ANSWERING SYSTEM WHEN YOU CALL FISH. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE, FOLLOW ITS DIRECTIONS.

• It is FISH policy that our volunteers remain anonymous. For that reason, they may block their phone number from showing on your Caller ID. If your phone is set to not allow blocked numbers, OUR VOLUNTEERS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN YOUR CALL. TURN THAT FEATURE OFF BEFORE YOU CALL FISH, LEAVE OFF so a volunteer return your call. Check with your phone carrier to see how to change that setting.

• IF YOU ARE  DIRECTED TO LEAVE A MESSAGE SO A FISH VOLUNTEER CAN CALL YOU BACK WHEN DONE WORKING WITH PREVIOUS CALLERS - DO THIS:

2. your LOCAL PHONE NUMBER - REPEAT TWICE PLEASE!
3. TIMES / DAYS when you can be reached (keep Caller ID off)
4. your NEED - or other reason you're calling.
